Need to buy an external adapter for maximum sound and light if you don't have USB-C with 30W PD on your PC or NTB
Speakers fixed by cable.
The software could be clearer, but I have experienced worse, this is such a middle ground.
If you have the speakers connected to an external PD source and to the PC via USB for app + jack setup, the speakers will always prefer the USB input over the jack, and the USB one feels a hair worse, so you keep switching after you turn on the PC.

I hade Bose companion speakers in the past, and those sounded better even without a subwoofer. But they started failing after 2 years, and they are not repairable (shame!). The RGB on these looks nice, and the sound is good for normal music and gaming - but don't expect explosions that shake your body. I did have quite some trouble to install the Creative drivers and get the firmware updated in Windows 11, but succeeded after several tries. I can imagine that that for many users, this would be a reason to return them as "not working".
They look quite nice

The subwoofer is meant to go on your desk, but does not have RGB
They don't switch off automatically when you shut down your PC
