If you print mostly photos, and more often than once a year, then this is a very good choice. It is not suitable for normal print jobs because it is slow and cannot print automatically on both sides. It really is incredibly cheap. That is, as long as it works, because I have the second piece already. The previous G540 (basically the same thing without the scanner) went to colour dropouts after printing about a thousand A4 photos. At that time the waste container was changed once and the second time only the black and grey one was refilled. There was still about 1/6th of the volume of the starting charge left in the colours.
