Bought on the recommendation of a caver friend. From hearsay reviews, the negative is that even the lowest luminance level is too strong. OK for me - I have several headlamps that don't light enough.: ) For a 21700 type flashlight, works with 18650 as well. I made an "adapter" out of electrical conduit, but more just to make sure the smaller "charge" is reliably centered, but not necessary. The great thing is that it is waterproof even when submerged (evening snorkeling to about 5m depth), it still works reliably! The higher weight is due to the robust design - if you want a "heavy-duty" flashlight, this is a good choice. I wear it on my helmet - there the rubber bands hold reliably in the stops. The criticized feature here in the reviews - the limited luminosity time in "boost mode" (both white lights on) is due to overheating protection. The "Boost Mode" is a cool bonus for occasional short-term overexposure, nice even if not intended for long-term use. The only weak point is the O-ring - after unscrewing it several times it pulls out, "flies" and tends to "chew" in the thread. I think there were spares in the package, but I must have lost them somewhere: )
