Running on an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX with the latest BIOS. Noctua NH-D14 cooler with low-noise adapters at low RPM (120+140mm fans), in a Be Quiet Silent Base 802 case with direct air intake and its Be Quiet fans running at 75% speed. Installation was simple. Although the thermal pad doesn't cover the entire CPU surface, there's no need to mess around with paste (did I apply too much or too little?). Factory settings are not good. Temperatures are unnecessarily high. Over 50°C on the Windows desktop, and they instantly shot up over 90°C during a stress test in HWInfo64. Slightly limited the processor in the BIOS via PBO curve optimizer, and with PBO set to -25 PPT/TDC/EDC 100W/60A/90A, temperatures are around 67°C when playing Witcher 3 Remastered or Blood of the Dawnwalker (UE5 engine). No issues so far, stable and quiet. And the room isn't overheating either. In a 10min stress test in HWInfo64, temperatures stayed under 73°C and weren't rising. All-core boost at 4.26–4.27GHz. Compared only in a single gameplay scene with the exact same graphics settings in Witcher 3 against the six-core R5 5600X – average FPS increased by +30. We'll see how the thermal pad holds up over time. Apparently, it tends to "settle in" and improve temperatures. The only other drawback is the high purchase price. About 3 years ago around this time, you could get the R7 5700X3D tray version (from a competitor) for under 5,000 CZK. Oh well. Nevertheless, I can highly recommend this CPU. Just make sure to tweak it a bit.

The upgrade from a Ryzen 5 3600 to this processor was more than a rocket launch. I must stress that it's necessary to undervolt this processor via the BIOS or various PBO applications. On standard settings, it hits up to 91 degrees when running UE5, even with liquid cooling. In my opinion, this factory setting is truly pathetic. After setting PBO to -10, the temperature held at 85, and at PBO -20, the temperature is around 76, which is beautiful. A standard air cooler can certainly handle it, but for this processor, I think it's better to use liquid cooling. I used an MSI CoreLiquid A13 240 and everything is fine. After reading the reviews, I didn't even bother trying the ICE PAD. The mere fact that it doesn't cover the entire surface of the processor is a mistake, in my opinion.
Processor performance
Large X3D cache
The last option before upgrading to AM5
temperature on the basic setting
the price is still quite high for a 5-year-old processor, even so the price was previously 11K (bought for 8.3K on 26/10)

I upgraded from an i7 8700 to this processor and the performance boost is incredible. I'm running it in combination with a 3080ti. I upgraded the CPU because of AM4 and the price of RAM, so I wanted to squeeze as much as I could out of the CPU on this platform.
Incredible performance
Stability
I simply recommend it
You really want an AIO cooler for this.
You have to undervolt it, then the temperatures are around 50/60C.

Returned. This first version of the 3D cache is rubbish. If the price had landed around 5,000, then fine, but for 8K+ it's an absolute joke.
Performance in FullHD
Excellent power consumption in games.
Originally innovative silicon
-200 to -300MHz real frequency compared to the 5700X (85W SFF limit)
Very poor heat transfer to the heatsink
Minima better by at least 20% and average FPS no different in 2K/4K
Price
The hype surrounding it is much bigger than the benefit of the technology.

After updating the BIOS and replacing the processor from a 5600X, everything is OK. As for the IcePad. A lot of reviewers here write that it's useless. In my opinion, they messed up the installation. The IcePad needs to be centred precisely in the middle of the processor, and the surfaces of both the cooler and the processor need to be degreased and cleaned with a microfibre cloth so there isn't a single speck of dust or grease. Don't slide the cooler around on the processor trying to find the screws. Place it down, press it on, and tighten it evenly. After starting up, the temperatures were catastrophic. Idle was around 75° and over 90° during stress tests. After half an hour, the temperatures dropped sharply. Now, it's the 4th day and my idle temps are 30-32°, under 40° during standard work and browsing, and around 65° when gaming. I'm using a Noctua NHD15 for cooling. And good airflow in the case is a must. Undervolted via Curve Optimizer to -30, stable and fantastic.

You don't need to heat the room. This processor will manage that on its own.
