I had no experience with the Thomson brand, so I was initially a bit skeptical. The TV offers quite a lot of equipment for its price and so far, after more than 2 weeks of use, I have to say that it is worth it. GoogleTV is a simple and smooth system with many interesting features. However, there is one annoyance that needs to be mentioned. After the first setup I had a problem with occasional flickering of the image. After a few hours of use, I noticed that it may be related to the WiFi connection and indeed it is. The TV probably has some problem with the WiFi signal receiver, which in my opinion sometimes drops out for a fraction of a second and during this outage the picture flickers quickly. The whole thing can be solved by connecting via LAN (if you don't have a LAN cable near the TV, you can solve it by getting a WiFi extender for a few hundred with the possibility of connecting a LAN cable). But it is true that for some it can be quite a big inconvenience and even a potential deal-breaker. I might even consider this a problem with my particular piece, however, I have recommended the TV to my relatives and they have had this problem as well.

A terrible TV tuner that hates users. It doesn't have a time shift. Fortunately, we don't need to.
Probably the biggest minus is the contrast. Black is grey. Displaying a larger area of red/magenta will cause the entire image to splash. Playing with the settings for a long time didn't fix it either. Moreover, I couldn't find a contrast setting as such, only brightness.
Managing applications is not much. One Long Line is not an ideal solution.
The opening line of unsolicited tickets is fixed in the system and cannot be removed.
I can't seem to find a decent app to play from disc. The pre-installed one didn't even play the avi.
It has no voice control. Search only and still very limited for some applications
