Ideal for MacBook or Macmini and office use with external monitor. It offers excellent value for money with a very sharp image.

It would be an absolutely great office monitor for a macbook, but unfortunately the aspect ratio spoils it for me. Compared to the old 24" 1920*1200, the extra three inches are added mainly on the sides, where I don't need them, and the height of the display is only a very small bit bigger. I wasn't expecting that. Combined with the fact that the backlight is weaker at the edges due to the head position, this aspect ratio is a bit unfortunate. But I guess I'm out of luck, 5k 16:10 monitors are probably not made: -(

I was looking for a replacement for a monitor I took to the office and since I had two 4K@144Hz and 4K@165Hz, I wanted to try 5K. And since I don't do graphics, Studio Display would be useless. I found this monitor here and took a chance. I don't regret it because for the money it has a beautiful picture and the only thing that would be good to sort out is a VESA mount. Otherwise, the monitor is really hilarious and even though the monitor frame is plastic, it doesn't look bad at all. Aluminum would be nicer, but if you don't focus on it, you won't even notice it. And it makes the monitor lightweight to carry around. For me, 9/10 for the VESA.
Lightweight 5K monitor
Macbook M4 Pro can run both this 5K monitor and another connected 4K@144Hz monitor
Beautiful picture
It can also charge the above mentioned MAC, although only 65W, but if you don't crush the processor, it's fine
I have connected via Element 5 Hub from CalDigit and it works great
Easy assembly and alloy stand, so quite sturdy
Can't disconnect the stand, so if someone plans to hang it on VESA, they can't.
It loses contrast slightly from the side, but it's an angle no one is looking from anyway
The frames around the screen could be made thinner, but that's just a detail that doesn't interfere with a good monitor overall

Initially I was concerned about the quality I could expect for the money compared to competing products, but I am pleasantly surprised. Although the matte screen makes the image not as sharp, it doesn't matter. Nothing is reflected on the screen. At 5k resolution with retina, it's definitely much better than at 4k. I was considering a higher quality monitor, but in the end price won out.

For the price, it's doable when the competition costs 2x - 4x more, but it has its quirks. It's a monitor for work, not for games. Despite having a 5k resolution, I'd rather choose MSI's 4k 165Hz for the same price. At 5k I would wait until they make them in 120 Hz version.
HDMI won't run 5k (5k only works via USB-C and DP) - I don't understand why they put an HDMI port in there in the first place. they could put 2x USB-C and DP
Doesn't have AMD freesync or NVIDIA gsync - jerks the image when playing
no KVM switch

After my experience with the Apple Studio Display, I needed an alternative for occasional use elsewhere. I quickly got used to the 5k panel with 218PPI, and I couldn't look at monitors with lower resolution for a long time without eye fatigue (not to mention that 5k with 200% scaling also solves the problem of the so-called. fractional scaling). While this monitor falls short of the Studio Display's quality, it deserves 5 stars given the price, which offsets some quality concessions. It doesn't have the sharpness of a glossy display, but the difference is really minimal (but so does the matte finish even on an Apple display) and imperceptible when working (compared to a 4k monitor, it's heaven and earth: D). I haven't tried the bleading edge, but overall it seems to me that with changing viewing angle it changes the intensity of the backlight (it seems to me that in the middle where I have the center of my eyes shines more than then towards the edge, but this is again a negligible matter and I don't even notice it while working). Overall, I definitely do not regret the purchase. As a main monitor, I wouldn't trade it for a Studio Display, but if it had been available to buy at the time I bought the Apple monitor, I believe I wouldn't have even needed to buy an Apple monitor: ) Overall, I would give the monitor about 95% in terms of display performance compared to the Apple display

This is the same panel that western manufacturers are releasing at double the price. Compared to more expensive models, it has minimized costs. Just a panel in a decent plastic body with a plain matte finish and e-led backlight. Hub, VESA, speakers, sensors etc are missing. Of the cables included, only HDMI, which is an odd choice since HDMI 2.0 will not carry a 5k signal. It's enough to connect a console at 2K, which will map well to 5k, for simple gaming if you can survive 60hz and ghosting. With increased contrast and black depth, the panel is actually better than the 12 old IPS installed in Apple's models. You cannot expect the same calibration or backlight quality. The fake iMac look is quite handsome to me personally, the metal stand looks solid. The logo isn't exactly beautiful, but it's at least bland. Luminosity sufficient. Without direct sunlight, the image looks best without backlighting. Bleeding around the edges expected. The menu is such a banal imitation of the iPhone control center that it's great. A good choice until retina panels move to better backlight technologies and higher refresh rates.
