Nikon NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2
The NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 is a 40mm fixed focal length lens for Nikon mirrorless cameras with the Nikon Z bayonet. Due to the low f/2 aperture with a maximum aperture of 16, you can enjoy a significantly low depth of field, giving you the popular bokeh effect of blurring the background. The lens can focus as far as 29 cm, which is reliably taken care of by the autofocus system. Other features include the macro function, which allows the lens to capture even miniature objects in detail. Its design is intended for Full Frame chip. The NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 lens captures still images and movies with beautiful detail, depth of field and colour. Its natural viewing angle is ideal for snapshots, interviews and video tutorials. The lens is so small and light that you can use it even when filming from your own perspective, carry it in your pocket or leave it on the camera.

Sharp images and soft background
Draw the viewer's attention to the subject with a softly blurred, ultra-fine background. The Nikon Z's large-diameter bayonet, f/2 aperture and nine-lamel aperture with a circular aperture allow for a subtle and natural reproduction of out-of-focus areas (bokeh) that enhances foreground subjects. This makes it easier to achieve a creative look for your images. The lens delivers impressive sharpness even when shooting close-ups - from portraits to macro series in video tutorials.
Ideal for video
The NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 fixed focal length lens adds rich detail to video and focuses very quietly. Changes in focal length during refocusing are greatly reduced, so you can refocus without noticeably affecting the angle of view. Thanks to the extremely quiet stepper motor and greater light transmission of the Nikon Z bayonet, focusing is fast, accurate and quiet, making it ideal for photography and even better for video.
Excellent handling and durable design
The NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 lens always has an easy-to-use command ring that can smoothly and quietly focus or adjust aperture, exposure correction or ISO sensitivity. In addition, the lens is sealed against the ingress of dust and water droplets. So you can explore the world in any weather.

Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.
In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
