The rings put a natural amount of resistance for comfortable control. With a top-quality lens, you'll achieve outstanding success, both with still images and video footage.
Actual depth
The Nikon Z's large-diameter bayonet, nine-lamellas circular aperture and fixed f/2.8 aperture enable stunning results in any lighting. Capture the beautiful starfish of light rays. And get a natural-looking reproduction of out-of-focus areas of the image, transitioning smoothly to the edges of the image field.
Incredible close-up shots
The sharpness of the images is outstanding and exceptional when shooting close-ups. The shortest focusing distance is only 0.38 m throughout the zoom range. This makes the whole scene yours - from nearby objects to infinity.
No more veil, more light, more freedom
The design with 17 lenses in 15 groups ensures detailed drawing even with spot light sources. ARNEO anti-reflective coatings and Nano Crystal Coat suppress glare and veiling caused by light from different directions. Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.
In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
