The NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR is a super telephoto lens with a wide focal length range of 180-600mm. It easily covers the most commonly used focal lengths for wildlife, bird and aircraft photography, while leaving a great deal of versatility for sports and landscapes. With the shortest focusing distance of just 2.4m at a focal length of 600mm and 1.3m at a focal length of 180mm, you'll also get sharp images at close distances. Regardless of the subject, the lightweight FX-format super telephoto zoom lens brings many more subjects and locations within your reach. The internal zoom design allows you to have an optimally balanced lens at all times when shooting handheld: whether you're zooming or panning - all without using a tripod.

Autofocus is optimised for capturing fast-moving subjects such as birds, wildlife, sports and aircraft in still images and movies. The Fast Stepping Motor (STM) is extremely quiet during focusing and video recording, making it ideal for capturing shy wildlife. And subject tracking is completely stable when using Nikon Z mirrorless cameras with animal or vehicle detection modes.

Nikon's Optical Vibration Reduction System in the lens corrects vibrations during handheld shooting and panning, tripod movements, and wind effects with an efficiency equivalent to 5.5 EV. You can shoot at longer shutter speeds without affecting image sharpness, which is ideal in low light conditions. For fast-moving action, SPORT mode stabilizes the viewfinder image, making it easier to capture fast or unpredictably moving subjects.

When you attach the lightweight Nikon Z 2x teleconverter to the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR super telephoto lens, you extend its maximum focal length to 1,200mm. Or you can get a focal length of 840 mm using a 1.4x Z-series teleconverter. Image quality is lost: Six ED glass lens elements suppress colour position defects even when using a teleconverter.

With its long reach and silent focusing, the NIKKOR Z 180-600mm f/5.6-6.3 VR super telephoto high resolution zoom lens opens up a wealth of possibilities for capturing footage with beautifully compressed backgrounds. The Optical Vibration Reduction ensures stable shots and the suppression of focal length changes during refocusing maintains a constant angle of view when viewing objects moving towards or away from you.

Nikon’s beginnings date back to 1917 in Japan. At first, the company mainly produced lenses - telescopes, binoculars, microscopes and other small, optical equipment. Soon the company expanded its portfolio, producing photographic lenses under the Nikkor brand.
In the field of cameras, particularly among professionals, Nikon quickly gained a reputation as a top manufacturer, which continues today. Its cameras were even included in the equipment of American spacecraft. Nikon designed and produced the legendary Nikon SP 1957, regarded by many as the best camera of all time.
