Insta360 X4 Air ND64 Filter

Insta360 X4 Air ND64 Filter
Insta360 X4 Air ND64 filter
The Insta360 X4 Air ND64 filter is designed to reduce the amount of light hitting the sensor, delivering smoother motion and natural cinematic blur in very brightly lit scenes, such as in harsh sunny weather. It helps to limit overexposure and improves exposure control when shooting in intense daylight. The Insta360 X4 Air camera automatically recognises the ND filter in use, ensuring accurate colour reproduction and simplifying post-production. The filter is part of the ND16, ND32, and ND64 range, letting you choose based on the lighting conditions and your creative intent. Thanks to its optical properties, it enables longer exposure times to capture light trails, smooth motion, and dynamic cinematic effects.

ND filters
Create every shot with a cinematic look and greater control over light and exposure. The ND64 filter reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 6 stops, making it ideal for very bright sunny conditions. It helps you achieve smoother movement, a natural motion blur effect, and a more balanced exposure without blown-out highlights, which enhances the overall cinematic look of your footage.
Shoot in any light
Switch between ND16, ND32, and ND64 filters to always get the ideal exposure for the current lighting conditions.
- ND16 (4-stop) – Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 4 stops and is suitable for less bright daytime conditions, such as an overcast sky.
- ND32 (5-stop) – Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 5 stops and is ideal for moderately bright conditions, such as partly cloudy weather.
- ND64 (6-stop) – Reduces the amount of light entering the lens by 6 stops and is suitable for very bright, sunny environments.
Bring motion to life
Add a subtle cinematic motion blur effect and transform ordinary shots into dynamic and visually striking scenes.
Master long exposure
Capture car light trails, illuminated city streets, and other long exposures that give your shots a professional feel.
Ready for immediate use
The Insta360 X4 Air camera automatically detects the attached filter and adjusts the exposure and colours, so you can focus on filming.
Durable construction
Tempered 10H hardness glass protects the ND filters against scratches and ensures safe use in various conditions.
Tested under laboratory conditions.
Instructions for use
- Attach the ND filter to the camera lens and turn it clockwise to tighten it securely.
- Once correctly installed on the touchscreen side, the camera will automatically display a notification. Then select the corresponding ND filter model to ensure correct image correction and accurate colour reproduction.
Important notes on use
Do not drop or expose the ND filters to strong impacts or hard surfaces, as this may cause damage. If damaged, the filter must be replaced. Before installation, always check that the filter, camera lens and surrounding area are clean and dry. Only perform assembly in a clean, dry environment and always screw the filter on firmly and correctly before use. The lens protectors must be removed before attaching the ND filter and then stored safely for future use. When installing, avoid excessive pressure or pulling on the base of the filter to prevent deformation or damage. ND filters may slightly affect image stitching, so it is recommended to point one lens at the main scene for best results. Do not use the filters in the rain or for water sports as the construction is not waterproof. After contact with rain, snow or fog, the filter must be thoroughly dried with a soft cloth to prevent fogging. ND filters contain magnets, so they must be kept at a sufficient distance from pacemakers and other sensitive devices. The camera will only display a notification when the filter is correctly detected on the display side. The filters use magnetic sensors for recognition, and if installed incorrectly, the camera may mistake the filter for another accessory, in which case it must be reinstalled correctly.
