Electric Hammer Drills and Demolition Hammers

Electric hammer drills can be divided into models that are drills, models that are hammers, and models that are a combination of the two. Depending on the type you choose, they can be used for drilling in concrete and masonry, cutting stone, and demolition work.

Types:

  • Rotary hammers - look similar to hammer drills, but with higher performance and faster drilling speeds. They are also equipped with SDS-plus or SDS-max chuck systems, which allow for better use of the electro-pneumatic hammer.
  • Demolition hammers - based on a similar design, but their action only involves hammering, not rotation.
  • Combination hammers - designed primarily for drilling, they can also be used for cutting work. Combination hammers are the most widely used type of electric hammer in weight categories up to 7 kg. Depending on the power and weight class, some models use SDS-plus and SDS-max chuck systems.
