The HiLook NVR-104MH-D/4P(D) network recorder is used to record, store and manage video from connected IP cameras. This device processes the video signal from security cameras and saves the data to a hard drive for later analysis or archiving. It's suitable for both private and commercial properties, where it forms the core of a camera system. The recorder operates continuously, helping to maintain an overview of monitored areas in family homes, offices, shops, garages and small warehouses. The device supports the connection of up to 4 IP cameras with a recording resolution of up to 6MP. Simultaneous HDMI and VGA outputs, with a resolution of up to 1920 × 1080 pixels, are available for viewing footage on a monitor or television. Users can watch a live feed and record footage with a total incoming bandwidth of up to 40Mb/s and an outgoing bandwidth of up to 60Mb/s. The recorder can decode one channel at 6MP resolution or four channels at 1080p resolution.

PoE camera power and H.265+ video compression
The recorder includes an integrated PoE switch with four RJ-45 ports that automatically detect connected cameras. This technology provides power and data transmission over a single cable, eliminating the need to install separate power supplies for each camera. The total power budget for the PoE ports is 36W, and the ports comply with IEEE 802.3af/at standards. Connecting cameras is straightforward thanks to the automatic add function, requiring no complex configuration. Video recording uses H.265+, H.265, H.264+ and H.264 compression formats. These encoding standards reduce bandwidth consumption and decrease the amount of hard drive space used by up to 75% compared to the H.264 standard. The system can therefore store a longer recording history without needing to quickly overwrite older data. The data stream can be set up to 8Mb/s per channel when recording both video and audio.
Intelligent event detection and storage capacity
Integrated features include motion detection, line crossing detection, and intrusion detection in a marked area. Motion Detection 2.0 technology classifies objects into people and vehicles on all four channels, reducing false alarms caused by the movement of animals or leaves. The recorder also reacts to video signal loss, camera obscuration, or unauthorised tampering with the device, sending a notification to a mobile phone or email. For storing captured recordings, it offers a single SATA interface for connecting a hard drive. The recorder supports a hard drive with a capacity of up to 6TB. Recorded data can be backed up via the USB 2.0 interface using two ports on the device body, or remotely over the network. The power consumption of the recorder itself, without a connected drive and without active PoE power, does not exceed 10W.
Remote management options
The entire system is managed via a web interface or client software on a computer. The HiLookVision mobile app provides remote access to live footage and stored recordings on Android and iOS mobile phones. The system supports up to 32 remote users simultaneously and uses standard network protocols such as TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, NTP, SADP, SMTP, UPnP and HTTPS for data transmission.
