Modern high-performance processors for Intel socket LGA775 are very innovative. The 775 differs from earlier sockets because instead of pin holes, it uses gold-plated contacts arranged as a grid to connect to motherboards, which has a positive effect on the price of the processors. The processor cooler was also positively updated.
