Take your social media profiles to the next level
Compact, lightweight and powerful, the FUJIFILM X-M5 is the ideal companion for capturing everyday life. It's for aspiring, ambitious creators who want to take their work to the next level and don't want to rely on their mobile phone alone. The FUJIFILM X-M5 is a mirrorless camera with a small footprint but high performance. It features a 26.1Mpx APS-C X-Trans 4 CMOS sensor, three built-in microphones for superior audio quality and an X-mount bayonet that supports a wide range of FUJIFILM lenses. The model can shoot videos at up to 6.2K/30p at a maximum aspect ratio of 3:2, providing an excellent alternative to mobile devices. Plus, it offers 20 movie simulations, state-of-the-art AI-driven autofocus with object detection, powerful digital image stabilisation and a new short movie mode that can be easily shared directly on social media. With a timeless, retro-inspired design, the FUJIFILM X-M5 is ready to change the way you create and share your experiences.

The Fujifilm X-M5 boasts the same 26.1Mpx X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor with BSI technology found in the popular X100V, and is equipped with the powerful X-Processor 5 as the latest X100VI. The sensor is more than 16 times larger than a conventional smartphone sensor, allowing it to capture significantly more light, resulting in richer colours, greater detail and better low-light performance. The unique X-Trans colour filter with random pixel arrangement mimics the organic structure of film material and eliminates digital artifacts such as moiré and false colours without the need for an optical low-pass filter. The result is smoother colour gradients and a more natural image presentation.

The larger APS-C sensor increases the ability to produce a shallower depth of field, allowing you to better blur backgrounds and highlight subjects. BSI (backside-illuminated) technology ensures even higher image quality and effective noise reduction, especially in low-light conditions. The latest X-Processor 5 is a powerful processor that offers faster image processing, improved autofocus with accurate object detection even when in motion, and video support up to 6.2K.With better noise handling and a wider dynamic range, it delivers great photo quality even in low light. In addition, it enables fast burst shooting and optimizes power consumption, extending battery life.

With a unique film simulation mode dial on the top camera panel, the user has instant access to custom creative looks for photos or videos. The selector provides direct access to eight movie simulations, but there are also three positions that can be assigned simulations based on your preferences. The FUJIFILM X-M5 offers up to 20 film simulation modes that faithfully reproduce the look and feel of several different types of classic movies. In addition to simulating specific film types, there is also a Grain Effect mode that mimics the look of old film photos with organic texture. colour Chrome and colour Chrome FX Blue effects are also available to deepen colour, tonal response and gradation with higher saturation colours.

The mirrorless X-M5 shoots 6.2K/30p (4:2:2 10bit) video to an internal SD card and uses every pixel of the APS-C sensor with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It also supports 4K/60p and Full HD 1080/240p. For smooth, stable shots, it uses powerful digital image stabilization. As the first X Series model, it has three built-in microphones and four audio capture modes (Surround, Front, Back, Front & Back) for clear sound from all directions. Steady-state noise reduction eliminates constant noise (e.g. air conditioning, wind). It supports both F-Log and F-Log2 with a dynamic range of over 13 EV, expanding post-production options. LP mode allows for longer recording.
The Vlog mode interface has been designed to make video recording easy and fun, even for beginners. Vlog mode has its own user interface separate from the standard video recording interface. When you select Vlog on the control wheel, the relatively large icons on the touchscreen LCD allow you to control focus and other settings, making the whole shooting process easier. You can directly switch on focusing on the eye, electronic image stabilisation and image enhancement modes, without rotating the camera (Background Blur mode, Product Priority mode, which automatically switches focus to a product closer to the camera, and Portrait Enhancer mode applies algorithms in three faint options to smooth and brighten skin, medium and strong).
New 9:16 short video mode allows you to create video content again, which is popular on various social networks. Clips of 15, 30 or 60 seconds can be recorded in 9:16 vertical format without having to turn the camera sideways. The on-screen timer makes it easy to see how much time you have left. The FUJIFILM X-M5 allows you to select 8Mbps and 25Mbps transfer rates. These speeds minimize the time it takes to transfer files to smartphones and other devices, allowing you to get your content online quickly. Plus, the USB-C connection allows high-speed transfer of video files of 4GB or more to both Android and iOS devices.
The X-M5 has the smallest and lightest body in the FUJIFILM X range, weighing just 307g without battery or memory card and measuring 11.19cm wide. In keeping with FUJIFILM's aesthetic and X-Series design philosophy, the silver or black rangefinder-style body features a pair of control dials on the top plate, allowing you to adjust exposure and film simulation settings without having to change your grip or switch to the touchscreen.
The Interchangeable Lens Mount allows you to attach any of over 35 X-Series lenses with the option to attach additional lenses using a suitable optional adapter. The camera features a 3" articulated LCD touchscreen optimized for self-timer. Keeping the needs of filmmakers in mind, FUJIFILM moved the location of the connector ports to the right side of the camera, eliminating wire interference with the monitor. Also, the microphone port has been moved from the side of the camera to the back. The UHS-I SD card slot is at the bottom of the battery compartment. The X-M5 uses Fujifilm's NP-W126s battery, which lasts approximately 330 or 440 shots if you use eco mode. With the USB-C connector, the battery can be charged while using the camera.
Flexible and lightweight, the ideal lens for your everyday snapshots
The smallest and lightest interchangeable zoom lens Fujinon XC 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS PZ for the X Series mirrorless cameras The lens features a construction of 10 optical elements in 9 groups, including 3 aspherical and 2 ED lenses, providing excellent resolution throughout the zoom range. The range equivalent to 23-69mm in 35mm format is ideal for both landscape and portrait photography. With a wide angle of view at 23mm, it's also perfect for multi-person or background selfies. When used at its widest focal length, it allows you to photograph subjects as close as 5 cm from the front edge of the lens, with a maximum magnification of 0.24×. Ideal for close-up shots of food, flowers or small objects.

The compact design of the lens was made possible by the electric zoom. When the camera is switched on, the lens automatically extends to the working position. There are two zoom speeds, which are selected by rotating the zoom ring. The lens moves at a constant speed, ensuring a smooth transition when shooting video. The lens incorporates Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) with up to 3 EV, which complies with CIPA guidelines and helps when shooting in low-light conditions. The internal focusing system uses a stepper motor to drive the lightweight focusing elements, ensuring fast and silent autofocusing, ideal for video.

The Fujifilm X-M5 is an exceptionally compact, stylish and surprisingly capable camera that, despite its diminutive size, offers a full-frame APS-C sensor with excellent image quality, advanced autofocus and extensive video support up to 6K resolution. Its retro design and rich set-up options, including simulations of classic Fujifilm films, will delight creative users and photographic nostalgics alike, while the price including a basic lens makes it an attractive choice for beginners.
