The Fujifilm Fujinon XC 35mm f/2 lens for Fujifilm X mount digital cameras is designed for APS-C sensors and offers a compact, sleek and lightweight design. Its focal length is equivalent to 53mm in 35mm format, making it a standard lens with a natural field of view ideal for portrait and street photography. The optical design incorporates two aspherical elements that effectively minimize distortion and spherical aberration, ensuring high sharpness and accurate rendering of details. The lens has a 43mm filter thread, autofocus and weighs only 130 grams.

The lens also features the HT-EBC multi-layer lens coating, which has high transmittance (99.8%) and low reflectivity (0.2%) to significantly reduce unwanted reflections when shooting in backlight. Like other XC lenses, the new XC 35mm f/2 does not offer an aperture ring, so aperture settings must be controlled directly on the camera body.

The silent and fast AF system uses a stepper motor to promote fast, silent, precise focusing and the rounded 9-blade aperture contributes to pleasing bokeh thanks to its circular aperture. That in itself is an attractive lens. In accordance with Fujifilm's XC designation (denoting lenses, that are designed to be compact and ultra-portable and are generally cheaper than XF lenses, aiming for premium performance), measures just 46.5 mm in length.
