With 10 built-in songs
The CASIO SA-81 keyboard also offers ten built-in songs, perfect for practice and your first musical attempts. You can play them as normal or turn off the main melody to play it yourself while you practise. The songs include well-known melodies like Ode to Joy, Little Brown Jug, Minuet in G Major, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Yankee Doodle, The Nutcracker, Greensleeves, Jingle Bells, Silent Night and Joy to the World. With this combination of classical and traditional songs, every player can find their favourite tune and enjoy a motivating accompaniment while practising.
Professional features on a compact instrument
The CASIO SA-81 keyboard provides several practical sound functions that enrich your playing and open up space for creativity. The Layer function lets you combine two different sounds into one, creating more interesting, fuller musical expressions, such as a piano with a soft string accompaniment. The sustain function prolongs the note's decay even after the key is released, making individual notes or chords sound more natural and fluid. The sound is further enriched by reverberation, which adds space and depth to the notes. There are four types to choose from—room, hall 1, hall 2 and stage—so you can easily select an atmosphere ranging from a subtle room to a more pronounced concert hall.
Choose one of 16 scale tuning systems
The CASIO SA-81 also offers excellent tuning and tonal range adjustment options, making it adaptable to every player and various musical situations. The octave shift function lets you move the notes you play up or down by one octave, so you can easily cover a wide range of voices and melodic lines. The advanced tuning features are also very useful: in addition to standard equal temperament, you can choose from 16 other scale tuning systems, including Pure Major and Pure Minor, ideal for practising polyphonic singing or harmony exercises. The fine-tuning function then allows you to adjust the pitch in 0.1Hz steps, so you can easily match the keyboard to other instruments or voices. And when you need a simple key adjustment for a singer or another player, the transpose function comes in handy, shifting all notes up or down by semitones without you having to change how you play.
Built-in metronome and LCD screen
The CASIO SA-81 supports smooth music practice with a set of practical features that make working with rhythm and navigating settings easier. The built-in metronome is ideal for training a steady tempo and helps build confidence in your playing. You can also adjust the tempo at any time to match the piece you are playing or your skill level, which is useful for slower practice and later speeding up. The maximum 32-note polyphony ensures that the instrument can handle even more complex keystrokes and chords without any notes disappearing, keeping the sound full and clear. The clear, three-level, full-dot matrix LCD screen then instantly displays all important settings.
For practice with a band or choir
Thanks to its highly precise tuning, the CASIO SA-81 keyboard is also a great choice for practising with choirs or bands where correct intonation is crucial. Its compact body, measuring 604 × 211 × 57mm, is easy to carry, so you can use the instrument at home, at school, or for rehearsals outside the classroom without any trouble. The option to power it with either a standard adapter or batteries is also practical, and it includes a mini-jack headphone output, which allows for undisturbed practice in environments where you need to be quiet.
