Canon hat kürzlich mit der neuen spiegellosen Canon EOS R8 eine Neuheit im Kamerabereich vorgestellt; gleichzeitig wurde auch ein neues Objektiv aus der Kategorie der Basiszooms präsentiert, nämlich das Canon RF 24-50 mm f/4,5-6,3 IS STM, das in einem der preisgünstigen Basis-Sets erhältlich sein wird. Nicht nur deshalb, sondern auch angesichts der Tatsache, dass es sich um eine Neuheit handelt, lohnt es sich auf jeden Fall, dieses Objektiv genauer unter die Lupe zu nehmen, da es sich geradezu für den breiten Einsatz bei den meisten Anwendern anbietet.

Das Canon RF 16 mm f/2,8 STM ist heute zwar keine brandaktuelle Neuheit mehr und schon seit geraumer Zeit im Handel erhältlich, doch verdient es meiner Meinung nach auch heute noch einen eigenen Artikel, denn es ist zwar auf den ersten Blick ein unscheinbares Objektiv, in vielerlei Hinsicht jedoch buchstäblich einzigartig. Zudem wird es aus unerfindlichen Gründen etwas übersehen, obwohl ich, wenn ich ein Objektiv mit einem besseren Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis finden müsste, wohl sehr lange suchen müsste und es fraglich ist, ob ich überhaupt fündig würde.
