I switched from Smart Band 7. I was all about the improved metering. For the money, it's really worth it, and who doesn't care about accurate sleep tracking, it's definitely an interesting device that Xiaomi has really pushed forward over the years.
Unbelievable battery life, it takes 5% in 1 day and I have all the measurements set to maximum, only I don't have always on.
The heart rate measurement is really more accurate, with the smart band 7 I could let out my soul during activity and it still delayed my heart rate to 80, with the new model the real time measurement really works. According to some reviews on YT, it's pretty accurate.
Sleep measurement seems more accurate, gives completely different data compared to smart band 7.
Better sleep analysis.
The higher refresh rate is really noticeable.
I guess I was expecting different sleeping animal tips. The tip that I should take a nap at 8pm and then brainstorm seems like a fool's errand.
Wake-up detection at night is lousy. Some reviews report a significant overall inaccuracy in sleep measurement.
The sleep analysis could be more detailed, including custom tips for that current sleep.
GPS is missing, but that's even with much more expensive devices.
Notifications on iOS only for selected apps, you can't choose your own in Mi fit like you could in Zepp life. Answers still don't go for iOS either, but that's more a matter of iOS being closed I guess.
I'm worried about mechanical damage to the snapping strap.
The measurement data could be further worked with, sleep debt, biological age etc but it costs money and I understand that this device is supposed to be mostly affordable.
