I'm switching from the Xiaomi 11S, so the improvement is to be expected. But I didn't expect the difference to be so marked. The readability of the display and responsiveness is on a whole other level and the camera, which is the main attraction of this model, has definitely lived up to expectations. I have been waiting for this phone since the announcement in China and it was definitely worth it despite the higher price.
Great response
High-end camera comparable to a mirrorless camera
Display legible even in sunlight
The allocated cover is more for show

The phone is the third in a row that I use and overall it suits me. Good connection to other Xiaomi products. I use multiple devices like a vacuum cleaner and such and everything communicates with each other without any problems.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra excels mainly thanks to the high-end Leica cameras with APO zoom, which offer incredible image quality, ideal for photographers and videographers. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor delivers brutal performance, so it's up to the task. Add to that a fantastic OLED display that is a joy to behold. Long battery life with fast charging.

Going from 14 ultra and you can feel it. The photos are much better, it takes beautiful pictures even in the dark, with that the 14 ultra had quite a problem. The 200mpx telephoto lens is also somewhere else than the 14 ultra. Too bad I can't get a lens cap at the moment, I'll have to wait for photokyt and put a filter on it. Summary: I don't regret my money for this phone at all, I love taking pictures and this is really top notch.
super camera, transition from 14 ultra
photos in 200MB resolution are really brutal, but they take up a lot of space too, over 100MB

The cover in the package is completely useless, and there are no lens cap covers on the market yet.

After switching from the Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has absolutely stunned me. The camera is fantastic, the main 200 MP sensor and telephoto lens deliver incredible detail and beautiful portraits. The display is bright and smooth, the battery is a hair better than in my previous phone which is certainly a plus, charging 90W is almost comparable to 120W even with the higher capacity, the charging length is only slightly longer, just pin it and before you make coffee it is charged. The phone is snappy, perfectly cooled thanks to the evaporator chamber and overall looks very premium. Anyone looking for a powerful and versatile phone will be extremely satisfied with this model.
Definitely the camera
The speed is excellent
Battery life and charging super (I use 120W adapter from older model)
Beautifully colourful and distinctive display
Perfectly sounding speakers
For some maybe a minus but for me the size
The included case is really a waste for a few bucks, out of necessity yet deployed but already ordered better
Even with the premium model, there is no charger available, which makes gifting someone with my older model very difficult (which is a fault elsewhere, we all know)
No protection for camera glass, risk of scratches

A solid camera that shoots really well in low light conditions. Really fast app launches. I better get a protective glass for my camera, it's pretty bulging.

This is my fourth Xiaomi phone, starting with the Mi5, continuing through the Mi Mix 3 and most recently the Mi 13. It's my first Ultra version, which I chose mainly because of the larger display and more RAM. But I was pleasantly surprised by the camera, it's really great and even though I'm not a photographer, I managed to take pictures that I previously associated more with classic DSLR cameras. The only drawback is the base cover that comes with the phone, which looks relatively cheap compared to the device itself.
