I upgraded to the Xiaomi 17 ultra from the Xiaomi 13 ultra, which was not originally available in the Czech Republic. Both phones have a main one-inch sensor. At the moment I can confirm that both the sensor and the post-processing are better on the 17 ultra, although the older sensor is not to be shamed 🙂 The 13 Ultra has two additional sensors with optical zoom and one of them is a 5x optical zoom. The 17 ultra has a max optical zoom of 4.3x but of course it has a better chip, optics and fine-tuned post-processing and in zooming to 5x and 10x the older model already crushes. The progress and cooperation with Laica is noticeable. And a sample reader. delicious! I can't fully evaluate the battery life yet.
excellent display
Fast system response even after dragging and dropping all the stuff from the previous phone
faithful processing of the photos, but sometimes I find them overall lighter than I would expect. In some cases this is a plus, in others a minus. but the colors can be true to the authentic mode
excellent sounding speakers
lightning ultrasonic fingerprint reader
finally a better front chip for photography
I'm not sure, but the back cover feels plastic to me. I'd rather have sandblasted glass for the money. otherwise the green colour is nice
shame about the lack of charging adapter, but we all know why

I switched to the phone after 10 years with iphones, I don't regret this change in any way. The operation of the phone system is smooth, without any stuttering. I would highlight especially the camera, which takes perfect photos. I especially appreciate the optical zoom with a 200mpx sensor, where even with digital zoom the photos remain sharp. Slow motion is also great, where you can get up to 1920fps. Here, however, the phone already illustrates the images, but the resulting video looks good. I think this phone is exactly the reason to run away from ios devices to android.

I've been using the phone for a short time, but so far I'm thrilled. The display is beautifully bright and smooth, the performance is really fast. There was also a cover in the package.
The phone looks very premium, the glass and metal construction are solid and pleasant to the touch. The rear camera module looks stylish and the phone is comfortable to use with one hand.
I was pleasantly surprised by the camera - the images are sharp with excellent dynamic range and colours, even in lower light conditions. The telephoto lens and night mode are the real strengths of this model.
Power and speed:
The phone is snappy, everything runs smoothly - from everyday use to social networking to more demanding apps and games. The transfer from my old phone was simple and quick.
I haven' t figured anything out yet.

Perfect camera - even on auto mode, the photos are razor sharp. Perfect zoom
Large battery - charging once a day even under heavy load
System speed (hopefully it will last)
After moving from a more compact phone, it takes some getting used to the size and weight - but it goes very quickly given its strengths
Ads in apps - Xiaomi's problem in general

I switched to the Xiaomi 17 Ultra from another brand and from a relatively older phone. So I was a little worried about navigating it, installations, etc. However, I have to admit that although I sometimes searched for some items and got familiar with some of them, in the end almost everything was quite intuitive and understandable. On the mobile itself - very fast, great display and good ergonomics. I was worried about the protruding camera, but it's an advantage. When you hold it, your fingers rest on it, so the phone is easier to hold and your fingers don't get in front of the lens. As for the camera, it left me in awe. Perfect photos and an incredibly perfect zoom/telephoto lens. Even at really long distances, the images are unblurred, sharp, and colourful. I haven't tried everything in it yet, but I was impressed by the introduction.
Quick
Excellent display
Very high quality sound/speakers
Storage size
Ergonomics
Camera
Same sound for all events - I couldn't get e.g. put different sound on incoming mails from different clients, WhatsApp (even if WA has set custom notifications, it still takes default) etc. But maybe I just haven't found it yet.
I couldn't turn off the shutter sound when taking pictures (but maybe I'll figure it out)
He deserves some kind of lens cover

Xiaomi 17 Ultra is not just a phone, it's basically a professional camera with a calling function. This year's model relies on brutal performance and Leica optics, which are currently unrivalled in the mobile world.
Design and Display
At first glance, the giant circular camera module, which is now complemented by a mechanical ring for zoom and aperture control, catches the eye. Thanks to new materials, the body is lighter (218 g) and thinner (8.3 mm) than its predecessor. It is dominated by a flat 6.9" LTPO OLED panel with a brightness of up to 3,500 nits, which guarantees perfect readability even in direct March sunlight.
Camera: Revolution in your pocket
The main attraction is the improved 1" Light Fusion 1050L sensor, which produces images with a natural depth effect without digital artifacts. The real technological treat, however, is the 200MPx periscopic telephoto lens with variable focal length (75-100 mm). This allows for a smooth optical zoom that is incredibly sharp.
Performance and Endurance
At the heart is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, which combined with HyperOS 3 runs absolutely uncompromisingly. Finally, the 6,000 mAh battery keeps up with the demanding hardware and can be recharged in minutes thanks to 90W charging.
Verdict: If mobile photography is a priority for you and you don't mind the premium price tag, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is currently the best choice on the market.
You want me to compare the technical specifications of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra with its biggest rival, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. I switched from the Samsung S 22 ultra and the big difference is in video stabilization and processor performance. Overall satisfaction.
