The camera doesn't communicate with the app, making the whole thing unusable. I feel like nobody cares. I was unable to get this camera to work, I was on a claim and it was accepted. At least that. Someone should test it before putting the product on the market.

I didn't expect it to be this good. The solar panel charges one percent in 15 minutes. Connecting to Homeassistant. io with go2rtc, webrtc and tapo cameras control without problems, notifications from Homeassistant to mobile including photos and automatic downloading of records from SD card to Homeassistant. Easy to add a camera entity using Onvif from the go2rtc add-on. It's good to add an additional motion sensor connected via ZigBee to trigger automation, as I was unable to add the motion sensor on the camera to Homeassistant. I am very happy with the product so far and if nothing comes up over time, I will buy another one.

Like any battery camera, this is a "better photo trap". But of the many tested, this is definitely one of the best at this price level. The Tapo app is nice and has lots of settings, the detections are clear with thumbnails and times and a symbol if it was a person, car etc. + timeline. Thanks to the microSD slot, there is no need to pay the cloud, everything is stored in the camera. The solar panel, although it seems very small, recharges the camera very reliably, even in the winter months. In high use when there is constant movement around the camera for 2 days and the battery drops to 80%, it does not last in direct (winter! ) sun nor two days to recharge back to full condition. In the package is an extension cable to the solar panel with a length of about 5m. Everything is sealed against water.
