I award five stars out of five in the context of the price-performance ratio, if I were to rate absolutely, when compared with the top from Sony for about 75tKč, then I would rate three stars, which is one more than the competition LG or Samsung at this price level. I replaced a 2 year old model from LG for similar money and am finally happy. It's not a device for audiophiles to listen to music, but for casual consumption of multimedia content, including YT for example, it's a really decent 1000W soundblaster. Thanks to the app, it can be set up quite decently, works great with Sony TVs. Strong bass, as is the mainstream today. The toilet on the other side of the apartment, around two corners, rumbles to the gentle night whispers. Interesting solution with the subwoofer being the main unit and the rear speaker connecting wirelessly via a powered unit that could be smaller. 5.1 only, no converters pointing up. The best soundbar under 10.000Kč!

It is a bigger brother of the old HT-S40R (5.1, 600W) with a price about 50% higher, but with better looks and from my point of view with incomparably higher sound quality, so forget about the cheaper soundbar right away (I returned it years ago after buying it first time with the fact that it was a bad piece, and the second time with the fact that it was a bad soundbar, but maybe I was just unlucky). Still, after the build and commissioning, a bit of a shock just from the quality of the mids and highs. but after switching off the Sound field function (on by default), the sound that pleases (regular stereo) has only just arrived. The setup has a nice reserve in power (5.1, 1000W), the bass, if you like, shifts the glasses on the table and the subwoofer breathes in your face from afar, but that's not the point. The experience of watching action movies or listening to music for the average listener is very good (audiophiles will forgive). Then at night, you either piss off the neighbours or use Night mode and keep going. However, I am bothered by the response time when changing the volume via the app or via the DO to the TV (Sony KD-65XH9096, connected via HDMI eARC), which is, who knows why, unreasonably long and really hinders. In this price range it is a hilarious product, so now to play at least 10 years.

I switched from an older HT-S40R model and the difference is absolutely marked. The bass is powerful, the soundbar voices are very clear and the rear speakers are about 300% better, and they can still be soloed. Setting up the whole system is done via an app on the phone which can be annoying/obstacle for some, I personally don't mind and I appreciated the ability to add to my home network. It's not a system for a block of flats unless it's all yours because it's really loud 🤣

After an experience with a Samsung that was disappointing, even though it cost half the money, I was forced to go for a more expensive one. Either make it work properly, or I don't want any. And here I have to say that I'm thrilled, it complements the ps5 and Sony TV perfectly and it has once again convinced me that when I buy something Japanese I will always be satisfied. It may not be completely unbiased, but it is to me. The bass is brutal, the sound is clear even at higher volumes, a blast in movies. Also excellent for watching anime and playing games. The rear speakers are a bit weaker, so you have to set them to higher power in the app. It must be said though that I have to keep the speakers very quiet because of the neighbors. For a small studio apartment, the performance surpasses any cinema. They're not exactly light, I think the box was about 25kg, so don't send your prettier half for it. 100% recommended and for fans of the brand, I don't see any other option.: )
