We use the scale at home every day for both cooking and weighing portions. The scale weighs accurately and quickly. A significant advantage is the large weighing surface and the higher height of the scale - we do not have to worry about the plate accidentally touching something else and thus distorting the weighing. A large roasting pan for chicken or duck can also fit on the scale. A shallow plate fits in here with no problem and still shows up beautifully on the display. The unit switching is hidden by the batteries. If you need to change units often I don't recommend buying one. But for us it is an advantage. The old scale had a change of units shared with the tare button and often changed units by itself, for example when there was a drop of water. The touch buttons work as they should and when weighing, none of them activated themselves despite the scale being wet. Still, I would prefer physical buttons. Then it would be 5/5⭐️. Thanks to the metal top of the scale which is about 1mm thick, I am not afraid to put hot things on the scale for a short time when necessary. I wouldn't do that with a plastic scale. I would also prefer the scale to run on either 2 or 4 AAA batteries. I can't put 3 batteries in the charger. So either you have to buy disposable batteries or leave one dead.
