About a year ago I bought my first 1000W power supply from Seasonic, until then I used power supplies from other manufacturers. Not that they were bad at all, they are still running today but I wanted a quality power supply for my new PC at the time so I went with the Seasonic recommendation. After a year I admit it was a good choice and so I have now bought this power supply for another PC. And it's going great: -). Although after turning on the PC there is a louder click (my more expensive 1000W power supply does it too) but the click means the power part of the power supply is switched on, no need to worry it is fine. Looking for a source? And quality? So go for it, it's fine as I wrote. As for the noise during operation, I am not complaining and it is fine: -)

Very quiet power supply. As some reviewers here write that the fan is poor quality and noisy I cannot confirm. It's going great. And I don't really care about the slight draw when the pc is off. All appliances have this, including the TV. Seasonic once again defended the quality.

Looks nice, capacitors apparently good quality, quiet but.
The power consumption with the switch OFF (at the back) is about 40mA! (= 9.2VA)! What is the real and reactive component of this I don't know, perhaps the reactive component predominates. The power supply is therefore not actually galvanically switched off, WARNING!
And if the power supply is switched on by the rear switch, the mains consumption increases to about 70mA ( i.e. 16VA! ). That will probably be a substantial part of the power input real already.
It's a design defect, I complained, a new one came in a flash, but with the same defect. nobody in Alza checked it, they probably don't have time for that before Christmas (or any other time). I have dozens of other PC power supplies, Fortron, Eurocase, Gigabyte, and I don't even know c in my PCs, but with the switch off they just don't consume ANYTHING, that's why the switch is there too (! ) and in standby they consume an order of magnitude less than the G12.
Such a bad buy, I put it away, will try to replace with another brand in time.
