The helpfulness of the staff was the only positive. The Seagate Exos X24 20TB hard drive, priced at more than 10,000 CZK, was mechanically damaged as soon as the gentleman brought it to the counter, visible even without unpacking the drive's packaging. It's like tapping the edge of a disc with a hammer. I refused to accept the goods, but I have to wait for the money, I can only make a claim. You can't preview the item before you pay, I wanted to preview it because this has happened to me twice with two discs in 9/2024 and 10/2024 but can't, pay first. As a replacement for the damaged one I was offered a Seagate Exos X24 24TB hard drive in the store which was in stock, but after bringing it to the counter it was also mechanically damaged. So mechanically damaged hard drive on Alza.cz already in FOUR pieces, I do not have the disk and the money is lying on Alza.cz. Draw your own conclusion.

The drive itself is very reliable and surprisingly fast (it stays around 270MB/s constantly), in RAID6 I was getting to write slightly over 1GB/s (for 6 drives) Disappointing is that Alza sent me a Factory recertified drive without mentioning it anywhere, such a drive has a shortened warranty from the manufacturer, and even if Alza maybe their 5 year warranty will be respected, the manufacturer no longer guarantees that you will get the data out of the drive in case of failure: ( Plus recertified units sell cheaper than brand new units.
