I considered the Garmin Epix, but in the end I stuck with Wear OS. The argument was mainly variable dials, where you can choose widgets (complications) without limitations, run applications from them, etc. There is a huge number of all types of apps in the store. The price for such a customizable operating system is of course battery life. But it's better with Watch5 Pro - see detail in pros/cons. I've had a Suunto7 (with wear os2) and I'm not even disappointed with the sports features - with the Samsung it's absolutely sufficient. I have the LTE version, which I'm going to use once Vodafone comes out with dual eSim, which can be switched/activated between mobile and watch. Supposedly it could be in the fall. Garmin won't offer you that. The Samsung is half the price of the Epix and has 2x more features, so for me there is nothing to worry about. Other competitors lack the payments or the watch is scratchy for me (Apple).
Perhaps all the functions imaginable on a watch.
The Wear OS 3 operating system is perfect, the menu is already very similar to the standard Android. Even the apps from the store that I had on wear os 2 work.
The watch is nice and made of great materials.
Good battery life (with respect to Android) - I don't have LTE active yet, I have some activity daily for about 8 hours a week. I turn off the GPS right after activity. I'm always on. I don't have a permanent cell phone connection. I don't have any on my hands at night. The watch can last 4 days.
Due to the highest equipment, processing and great OS with the largest number of applications and amazing dials very good price.
Offline maps, but Google is reportedly working hard on it and should deliver soon.
