After four years with the S22, I finally decided to upgrade to the S26 Ultra and the difference is absolutely abysmal. While with the old model, I was always struggling with battery life and the phone got noticeably hot during heavy work, the S26 Ultra runs absolutely cool and easily lasts me two days of normal use. The advances in processor efficiency are just incredible. The display is a chapter in itself - the brightness is mesmerising even in direct sunlight and the anti-glare coating works brilliantly. But what got me the most is the speed of focusing and the quality of night photos. Compared to the S22, where the zoom was more of a stopgap, the S26 Ultra's photos are sharp and full of detail even at high zoom.
