I've switched from the Samsung S23 Ultra to the new Galaxy S26 Ultra and the difference is noticeable, especially in the details that take the use further. The size of the phone stayed virtually the same, so I didn't have to get used to the new grip. The biggest change for me is the new Privacy Display technology - it really works and the display is much harder to read from an angle in public, which I appreciate. The brightness of the display is excellent and sunlight readability is a level better than the S23 Ultra. The battery life pleasantly surprised me - in my normal use, the phone lasts two days on a single charge without any problems, and the faster charging is noticeable. Overall, the phone is fast, smooth and feels premium. The negative for me is the change in the roundness of the corners, which I had to get used to, and also that the battery capacity remained the same as the previous generation. Another small thing is that the camera modules protrude from the body of the phone a little more than in the S23 Ultra, so the phone "wobbles" more on the table if you tap on it. It is not a major problem, but it is noticeable. Despite these minor issues, I rate the S26 Ultra as a very good upgrade that makes sense.

For an introduction and context, I'm switching from a Samsung Galaxy S22. The four years really show, as does the transition to the Ultra model series. I've been using stylus phones since the Galaxy Note series, and I buy a new one every year. The S26 Ultra looks pretty good so far. I was a little worried about the viewing angles of the display due to the privacy feature because of the "drowning" of some pixels, but it's minor. I don't mind a thinner stylus without BT, I just need to think about orientation, it's newly asymmetrical. Cooling is improved, no longer burns only one place on the top left of the display, but heats the whole phone evenly. The cameras have a huge improvement in the form of a lower aperture and therefore higher luminosity, I see this as a big step forward. Resolution is not that important for me, I shoot at 12MP anyway. The lens modules are very protruding, it would be better if the whole phone was thicker and had a bigger battery, this way it is unnecessarily thin and the lenses stick out a lot. To keep the phone on the table, I recommend a cover with a lens cover, see attached photo. The rounding of the corners is subjective, I personally liked the sharp edges better, but it doesn't stick out so much in my pants pocket.
