The Samsung S26 Ultra is a bit further from the hardware peak than I would like (China is rolling in this regard), but software-wise it outperforms everything else by a steamer. Movement within the system is ultra fast and smooth, functions are easy to understand and in the right place. Of course, it's a hefty brick I can feel in my pocket, but the performance and photos are worth it. The Pen is fine to work with, it's just the lack of Bluetooth that bothers. Summary: costs a lot, but it also offers a lot. The privacy display is a great upgrade (app bank tried), the 60W wired charging is noticeable and for photos I don't really know what to complain about. I still need to get a faster wireless charger to take advantage of this improvement as well: )
Great quick overview software
Photos are ultra high quality even on a large 4K TV
Privacy display will be on all phones from today, great feature
Must be operated with two hands
Battery size in relation to today's range of TOP models of Chinese brands
S Pen without Bluetooth

As a long time iphone user I opted for this phone. It offers something no other manufacturer has, S pen, privacy display. The performance of the phone is fantastic and I can't praise it yet. The user adjustability is awesome, you get what you want. It's like a computer in your pocket. As a photographer, I really appreciate the seamlessness with files and things like that. It's not a problem to get anything into the phones and it's a big convenience. I was expecting to get comfortable with android for a long time but the first time I used it, it fell into my hand. It offers so many features to make every activity and time easier. If anyone is considering switching from ios, I certainly wouldn't worry about it now at all: )

For now, I'll write a few quick observations from a short time using the phone. First the negatives. I'm a little puzzled by the price. For the 512GB version, 40k without discounts seems like a lot. I don't find it adequate considering the fact that there aren't that many changes. I'm also sorry about the used battery. This year, Samsung has again used 5000mAh and at a time when Chinese competition has much higher capacities. On the other hand, HW and SW optimization saves the day. I was a little disappointed with the Privacy Display. The technology does work, but it seems to me that one has to tilt the phone more to hide the information more. I read somewhere that the phone heats up when shooting video. I can confirm this for 8K resolution. It's not so bad for 4K. And on the other hand, the positives. The phone is beautifully smooth. Loading apps is fast and skipping between them. I have to commend Samsung for image stabilization. That's great. Only if you turn the phone too fast, you can see a little vibration in the video. It looks to me like the NFC sensitivity has been improved. I've paid a few times so far, but each time I've approached the reader with just the top of the phone and the payment went through. Compared to the old models, this is great because Samsung has always had NFC on the back.

I was really impressed with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. I've only been using the phone for a short time, but first impressions are very positive. Out of the box, it looks like a truly premium device. The design is elegant, the workmanship is high quality and the phone feels very good in the hand. The big plus for me is the display. It is beautifully sharp, the colours are vibrant and the image is very smooth. I often watch videos, look at photos or use my phone during the day for casual stuff and everything looks really great on this display. After switching from an older phone, the difference is really noticeable. The phone's performance is also excellent. Applications launch very quickly and the whole system is smooth and snappy. I've also tried a few more demanding apps and the phone has no problem with them. I was also very pleased with the camera. The photos have a lot of detail, natural colours and look good even in low light. Also practical is the large zoom option, which allows you to capture even distant objects. Battery life is also important to me. The phone lasts a full day of normal use without any problems, which I consider a big advantage. In addition, I appreciate the relatively fast charging. Overall, I'm very happy with the phone so far and I think the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is one of the best smartphones on the market today.

I have waited and procrastinated for a long time to purchase a new flagship from Samsung. Until now, I've been using the Note 10 plus quite comfortably. Which I'd probably stay with for at least a few more years. If only Samsung hadn't discontinued support and updates to new versions of android. It's a great pity. I chose the S26 Ultra model and opted for the 12GB/512GB variant of such a midrange. From the initial start up and familiarization everything was smooth and quick. Crazy for me was using android 16 (I ended up on 12). As with all updates, everyone gets used to it. The phone is slightly larger but it is easy to get used to. I can finally use the 5G network. Before that, I couldn't stand 4G. Camera with 200Mpx main wide-angle sensor. It's a whole different universe when shooting. The biggest attraction for me was two main things. Extreme brightness of 2600 nits where you can finally see into your phone in the sunlight. The second unique feature is Privacy Display, where no one will peek into your phone from the side. Too bad Samsung went the Apple route and doesn't offer memory expansion via a memory card slot like the Note 10 plus had. These are huge jumps when you replace your phone once every 6 years. I plan to use the mobile phone again at least until the end of support. I.e. as stated by the manufacturer until 2033 (7 years).
Privacy Display
200Mpx camera
120Hz display
Processor - Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
7 years of guaranteed Android updates from the manufacturer
S Pen (without bluetooth)
6.9" AMOLED display
Lack of charging adapter
Exposing cameras with the phone body
Absence of microSD card
S - the pen is oriented to one side only when retracting.
No foil on the display from the factory

I've preferred Samsung's Galaxy S series since the Galaxy S3. I haven't encountered any problems with these phones in the time I've been using them, so I'm hoping the S26 Ultra will be the same. My last GalaxyS was a 21 and I replaced it after less than 5 years only because of poor battery capacity. Otherwise, the phone worked perfectly smoothly even after almost 5 years. The new Galaxy S26 is, of course, a different level in perhaps every respect. The phone is very fast, the camera and display top notch. After a short experience with Apple's competition, specifically the 17 Pro, I dare say that the new Galaxy is a bit better than Apple's competitor. The only unknown at the moment is how long the battery will last in any decent shape. Otherwise, apart from the very protruding camera lenses, I have no reservations about the phone.

I buy a new flagship from Samsung every year, even though there are few innovations, and that's no different with the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. But they are reliable and software-wise they are the top of the market. It looks premium at first glance - the combination of glass and aluminium is elegant and the phone fits perfectly in the hand, even though it's bigger. The display is traditionally top-notch, Samsung has once again pushed the image quality a bit further. Colours are beautifully saturated, brightness is extremely high and the refresh rate ensures perfectly smooth scrolling and gaming responses. The biggest novelty is the privacy display function, which darkens the screen when viewed from an angle and preserves privacy, for example in the subway. The camera is unfortunately almost the same is the predecessor, but for the average user it is perfectly sufficient. Images from the main sensor are detailed, sharp and have excellent dynamic range. I was pleasantly surprised by the night mode - photos are clear and full of detail even in lower light conditions. The Zoom is still one of the best on the market and I use it very often. The performance is absolutely uncompromised. Apps open instantly, multitasking is seamless, and the phone doesn't get out of breath even with more demanding games. The battery lasts a full day of intensive use without any problems and the fast charging is very practical. The S Pen is still there, it can be used for notes and quick sketches. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra is a high-end phone for demanding users who want the best without compromise.

After reading a lot of reviews, among others negative ones, I have long considered whether to buy the S26 Ultra or to look at competitors. But I definitely did the right thing by buying it. First impressions highly positive. Samsung's flagship is undeniable. Although a few beauty bugs can be found- I would expect a higher battery capacity + finally a charging adapter included. Even so, the positives far outweigh the few negatives. I definitely recommend getting one.

For an introduction and context, I'm switching from a Samsung Galaxy S22. The four years really show, as does the transition to the Ultra model series. Despite its size (which was the primary reason I avoided the Ultra in the first place), it holds up surprisingly well. The much-vaunted Privacy Display feature really works well, definitely an interesting new feature. The phone responds to everything instantly and I don't even feel like it's overheating. The camera is much better compared to the S22. I'll have to get used to using the s-pen, but it works fine. If anyone is switching from the older S series, they will not be disappointed.
