Before using the controller for the first time, you need to pair it with your console and TV. After that everything works perfectly, you can turn on the TV and PS5, after pressing the dedicated buttons the application starts immediately. It's just a shame that there aren't more buttons so that some can be set up for apps other than Disney+, Netflix, Spotify and YouTube. I was able to control the console with the existing TV remote, the problem was when I needed to close the application and turn on another one. So I tried the PS5 controller and I'm happy - it works as expected and I don't have to have DualSense handy all the time.
