Quiet when not under load.
It cools the i7-7820X to 4.8GHz under full load, though it's on the edge. The smaller NOCTUA NH-U12S with a second fan only kept the i7-7820X cool at 4.7 GHz and the build was slightly unstable: -)
It does hum under load, but the sound is still refined. It's not a bother.
Watch out for the paste, the beginning is hardened. It should be squeezed aside and used fresh. Otherwise it won't cool.
Only in a really big, well-ventilated closet.
Don't expect 29°C on a powerful processor.
