I've been looking for a replacement for the MotoG5+ for a long time, and I think I've found it. The phone is slim and not too heavy, quite sleek. Rounded edges don't matter, touch works even in rounded areas. Motorola's great gestures are fine, you don't need "buttons" and they can do a lot more, just play around with the settings. Android certainly can't be considered cleaner than the competition. It's littered with assistants (MotoAI), constantly hinting and sending notifications - which overwhelm users with crap. I spent 2 days studying the settings and everything I could I turned off, uninstalled or even uninstalled - and lo and behold, the phone is much cleaner and clearer. I expected better pictures. The phone does not allow you to set the compression rate and SW interference to the saved photo. The image is shrotoid in detail, not great, I'd say average (I'm used to the camera and full manual controls). It's worse in lower light. However, for normal shooting and filming it is OK, optical stabilization is also noticeable. The manual white balance setting is excellent - you could learn from that. Sound when playing on BT headphones OK. Over the speakers a little worse, but that's logical-hard to make good sound on such a small device. Actually the only thing I can really fault is the POOR vibrations. They are so fine that even in your pocket you can easily "overlook" them. The phone as an alarm clock on my desk barely wakes me up with its vibration. I've been using Motoroly since the first model a long time ago. If I have to rate, this one is a good improvement over the current G series. That's a definite plus. And the clear minus is the fertilization of the assistants (MotoAI and the like).
