I have two of them, one silver version (2023) and one pink version (2025); they are different revisions. On the Android side, it’s a real disaster; the biggest problems are with audio playback and speed. I have the latest available firmware versions v14.8.7475 and v14.8.8963 (we’ve been waiting for a firmware fix since 2023 – the manufacturer simply couldn’t care less). The system is slow. I bought a Google TV Streamer 4K and that’s what I love about it – I don’t have to wait for anything; I just click and off I go. The Homatics box is excellent for playing local media using CoreElec and KODI; in that respect, it’s an absolutely brilliant device – it’s fast (ideally with a USB SSD) and has no trouble playing anything, including audio pass-through to the Denon AVR-X2800H.
Dual-boot CoreElec KODI
CODES
DV FEL and MEL
Remote control with microphone
5 stars just for COREELEC
Android – really bad firmware
Very poor to non-existent support from the manufacturer (you have to wait years for a firmware update)
Really, really slow
If you want something quick, buy a Google TV Streamer 4K
0 stars for Android

I bought this for a friend who only had an old Xiaomi stick left. Like heaven and earth, and my friend was thrilled.

I have been testing the Android box for a few months now and I am very happy with it. Nothing crashes on it, everything works as it should. A big upgrade over the Mi Box. I've been waiting a few years for a successor to the Nvidia Shield but after my experience with this box I have to say I didn't have to wait at all.
Fast response
After the update, Android 14
Pleasant status LED.

For a slightly higher price, you're kicking real quality. I have about the fourth box, only now I am satisfied.

1. I ordered the product "new" but it probably came "unpacked" because the unpacked option is no longer available on the website. As I pulled it out of the Alzabox, if it weren't for my speed, the cardboard box would have slipped out of its original cover, which was not sealed in any way, nor wrapped in plastic. The paper box was also not sealed in any way. 2. After switching on, the driver was already paired, although I personally did not pair it. 3. After about 30 minutes of spinning the wheel waiting for the google account login page, I managed to enter my name and password via virtual keyb. after about 10 more minutes of spinning, OUHA, something must have gone wrong. I clicked on "NEXT" and got an error: This account is already created on the device - I still couldn't connect to the account. Then the virtual keyb also disappeared and I had to plug in a classic keyboard to try to connect. And still nothing, after switching off/on the electricity - NOTHING. Change Wi-Fi - NOTHING, just couldn't log in to Google. Without logging in, you can't get any further, it would then be tweaked via the classic MENU.: -( 4. The device could not be turned off via the driver, jump to the home page, just nothing, so it was the turn of the reset button. This after about 5 seconds of the device skipping over all the previous pages on the page: Do you really want to delete this device? I click "Delete" x times and nothing, the second option "Back" also does not respond. I'm pretty [bleeped] up. 5. So in order to get this thing to boot, I had to pull it out of the socket, hold reset and turn it on - then wait for Android to boot and do a complete memory wipe and system reset - via the keyboard. 6. So suddenly I paired the driver the way it was supposed to be paired, suddenly I could connect to my google account and I got the machine up and running, updated it and it's running and I hope it will run the way it's supposed to. So take this straight as a guide, in case it does the same to someone else.
Good performance
Doesn't overheat even when Apple TV or Netflix in 4K is rolling at full blast
Lovely design
Overall: if it weren't for the birthing problems after switching on, I would give 5 stars
Probably unpacked and returned piece from previous owner, still sold as new

Handy little box. I was forced to buy a new OLED TV from LG (2025) because its WEB OS integrated video player has such poor audio and video codec support that it didn't even play what a regular LCD Smart LG TV from 2018 could. I have a rich archive of various old and obscure movies on external discs in various formats (h.264, HEVC, 1080p and 4K HDR), so without this media box I wouldn't have played half of them.
The openness of Android TV, the possibility of installing different players for a private video library on an external drive.
Small size
A rich selection of ports
Included HDMI cable to TV, can be connected directly
Easy and intuitive commissioning
I would have liked it in black to match the TV more, but that's just a minor detail.

It does pretty much everything I need, I had a Vero 4k+ before that I made a console for old games, and this is better and more stable.
everything I need (Netflix, network drive, TV with DVB-T2 tuner)
The remote can also control the TV
Sometimes you need to reboot because the sound doesn't work or a video just won't start
Sometimes it doesn't get the aspect ratio right and I have to tune it to the TV
The list of videos on the disc is not well displayed and there are only two options
the list of TV channels is not very user-friendly
the TV program is lousy - sometimes it stops showing the TV and its program, sometimes it helps if I turn on the program for a while and it recovers now and then
