I was looking for active speakers for my office. Since I am an audiophile and the speakers I have at home are no longer manufactured, I searched very carefully. I was skeptical about the data listed for each product, and I know that paper can take anything, and this has been going on with repros for many years. A combination of instinct, technical background and looks led me to choose this pair of speakers and I am extremely pleased with them. The box is stiff enough, looks like it's made of some sort of wood component with a veneer, has enough volume and the speakers look good too. The bass-reflex tube was a requirement because of the small size of the boxes and speakers. The supplied cables look sturdy and the interconnect cable for the second box has sufficient cross-section. The package also includes a power cable to the power outlet, one 2xCINCH-2xCINCH cable, one 2xCINCH-Jack 3.5mm cable and even an optical cable for digital signal. After plugging it in and getting it up and running, I was impressed with the sound and continue to enjoy both the quiet underscore and the occasional big rumble. I can recommend it to everyone.

The first time I turned them on with the turntable, I was scared that they didn't work. They made only a faint sound. So I finally read the instructions. you need to set where you want to play the sound from on the remote control. I guess there are 2-3 options. I only use a turntable and bluetooth. The others don't even know what's in there. A tiny LED on the side of one speaker glows green when the turntable is playing. When bluetooth is on, it glows blue. They're really tiny, no need to worry about it irradiating the surroundings like some of the annoying lights on black tech. They sound really beautiful. Recommended. They look very nice too.

Nice design and processing, that's the beginning and the end. I don't understand how someone can write something about good sound when it sounds like from some amplifier on a train platform. I had to turn the bass down to 50 to make it at least listenable, but eventually they went back to the store after 2 days. The bass sounded like it came from a plastic speaker, and it's made of wood.

The tiny speakers are indeed three-band, but it's more of a detriment. The small subwoofer can rumble nicely, but the highs (and mids) are insufficient, even at max. level of regulation. As a result, the sound sounds a bit like a bucket. Not much for listening to music. The cheaper Genius SP-HF 1800A is definitely better sounding, as is probably every similar two-way speaker. However, I appreciate the number of inputs and their switching by remote control.
