After years with a milling machine, I was deciding whether to buy a milling machine again or go back to a planchet. In the end, the winner was this 9577cc version. I chose this kit because I wanted both a cleaning station and a rechargeable travel case. The case is massive, but on the other hand it is solid, so there is no risk of damaging the machine when travelling. The advantage is that it has a battery in it, so if you go away from home and don't take a charger, you can use the charging case. I have not yet tested how much the machine can charge to, but according to the manual it should be 50%. The advantage is that the razor does not charge immediately after insertion, but only when the button on the case is switched on. So there is no constant charging, but only when I want to. On the case there is a glass "window" through which you can see the battery level of the machine. The cleaning station can be used either for charging alone or for charging and cleaning. I haven't tried it yet. I charged the machine in the case and cleaned it under running water. To the machine itself. Compared to the cutter, it shaved my cheeks and under my nose better. On the other hand, I would have liked a better neck shave. But it could have been caused by a few days of stubble. It is significantly noisier than a milling machine, but it's nothing you can't get used to. I was also surprised by the weight of the machine, which feels very light. The trimmer that is integrated is great. No more repositioning of the head as with a milling machine. If he shaved his neck as well as his cheeks, I'd give him full stars. I'll try shaving shorter beards next time.

I have owned a Braun 7 for many years, the old version, and in terms of materials and workmanship, this amazing 9 PRO+ is not even close. My 7 has a beautiful black "piano" paint job, everything is 100% polish, the materials are solid and high quality to the first touch. The 9 PRO+ looks like a cheap bakelite fake from Ali, the head tilts with difficulty and resistance and the individual parts of the blade obviously grind when inserted. I guess it's okay, but for such an expensive "out of the box" machine, it's brutal. And those dodgy promotions, it's unavailable on Alza for the price of Black Friday every now and then, when I tried to get Cash Back I was told that the limits were exhausted. The only plus is that somehow at least he shaves, time will tell. I'm just hoping that if I find I can't live with it, Braun's 90 day money back promotion won't be the same hype as Cash Back.
