If I'm going to evaluate the headphones purely on the design and audio side of things, they are passable. Although I have had better ones for similar money, for example from Logitech. But you're not gonna sit on your ass. What is absolutely appalling, and it brings the product down a lot, is the software in general from ASUS. This one is so bad that I probably won't buy another Asus product for a while. For two days I couldn't install this SW at all, an internet search showed that I am not alone. Hundreds of different posts on forums, reddit with the same problem. When I've managed to install the SW, it won't update, or it won't update the firmware, or it reports that it doesn't see the device you have connected by USB cable and just a minute ago it saw it. Each of these problems then requires a separate solution and research and again there are various videos or posts all over the internet, often years old. Without sorting all that out, then you're unable to set up the headphones, fiddle with the equalizer and other features. As a person who has been working for 15 years in corporate IT and can do anything on a PC, it took me a few days of troubleshooting to get it all up and running. You may get lucky, and it will all work fine on your PC the first time, but considering how many people on the internet have solved the same problems as me, I would consider whether it's worth the risk.
