After using the AirPods 3 since their launch (21 October 2021), I finally decided to upgrade to the new ones, mainly because of the volume control on the stem and the ANC feature.
My joy lasted for a month before the right AirPod started making a hissing sound in ANC mode. Unfortunately, it couldn't be resolved with a reset, so I returned them to Alza and am waiting for the claim to be processed.
ANC
Volume control
small compact case (compared to the Pro model)
AirPods 4 cases are compatible with AirPods 5
The adaptive noise cancellation mode is mostly useless because the headphones don't have a tight fit in the ears
problem with a faulty ANC function in the right earbud (reported in other countries too)
After five years of innovation, they last less on a single charge than the AirPods 3.

Significantly better ANC (active noise cancelling) compared to the previous generation
I still miss the option to rewind/skip just by double-tapping the earbud like it was with the 1st and 2nd generation, I hope they bring this feature back in the future. :-)
Compared to the previous generation, the audio side was also supposed to be improved, but after a few days of use, I can't feel any difference in the sound.

The only truly revolutionary product from this year's Apple release.
ANC – the level of noise cancellation is really impressive
They fit really well – usually earbuds don't fit me, but AP 5 stay in even when running
Wireless charging
Well-designed controls
The case scratches straight away, you need to buy a cover, ideally right away

Compared to some other Apple products, the new AirPods are an amazing step forward, definitely a good investment! The design has stayed exactly the same, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it ;)
ANC is an incredible step up from gen 4
Better sound balance, at least that's how it feels
Classic AirPods. If the earbud shape suits you, you'll love them.
Hopefully, it'll last longer than gen 4, which gave up on me quite early on :(
Purchase price, but it hasn't changed much compared to gen 4.
