I was switching from AirPods 2019. Initial music playback on the new headphones showed me that the headphones have significantly worse sound quality due to active noise cancellation. Also an annoying discovery for me was that I can no longer control playback by tapping the headphones. I have used this function during sports. Now to play the next song, I have to slow down and press the button. When running, I manage to accidentally throw the earpiece out of my ear while pressing the button. Finally, with the 2019 version, I could set a gesture to play the previous song. I didn't find this option in the settings for these AirPods. In the Playlist, you can only control forward playback. It's quite ironic when I can only use one and the same function for two different buttons. What a shame. I've used this feature a lot, because sometimes I have moments when I like to play the same song over and over again.
