Maximum satisfaction. Clearly the best processor on the market at the moment. If you are building a pure gaming PC where you occasionally edit some video, the 9800X3d will be enough and in some games you will even have better performance. But if you do video editing every day, or God forbid you do 3D graphics like me and you want to play games on the same strtoji - I definitely recommend not to save and go to 9950X3D. Some tasks that used to take 1-2 minutes on my 3950X are now done so quickly that I thought I hadn't pressed it. Like, like, from 1 minute to 5 seconds. But it's a specific application at a specific task. But in general everything is up to 40 - 130% faster, for me an incredible jump. It gets a bit hot under full load and you need to take this into account and have good case airflow and good CPU cooling.

With good Noctua cooling I keep the render in blender with all cores under 80 degrees

open PBO and I slightly underclocked it -0.25 - I was lucky in the silicon lottery and the CPU does not exceed 80 degrees under full load at stable maximum power

X3D option - it was worth the wait on the computer I work on, but in the afternoon I sometimes play a game and it shows. FPS in KCD2 jumped by 30-40 at 2K resolution with the same graphics card.

I have of course bought new DDR5 ram with good timings and I have an M2 ssd drive for the system, so it's not just the CPU that's a credit, but the system is smooth and incredibly fast - I upgraded from a 3950X and it's an incredible jump

It needs a good cooling system and I cheated it a bit - it's not just about the CPU fan, but I also rearranged the drives in the PC a bit and rearranged the fans of the chassis and lowered the temperature by almost 15 degrees, but at the beginning I had a problem that the temperature reached 95 degrees during rendering. But it wasn't a CPU problem as much as it was mine, where I didn't have optimally spaced fans and I added one. Also check that you have them wired correctly on the board so that the board can actually control them properly. Anyway, I recommend a proper cooler.
