If you play around with it and set the volume just right, you can't hear the whistling and it plays quite well.
Better than nothing for the money.
It's really quiet, the phone has to be on full volume, the transmitter on full volume and the radio has to be set just right.
When everything is going full blast, you can hear the alternator whistling, but in old cars the damping is not ideal.
It can be used as a handsfree, but it's definitely not for talking.
