The stand was a pleasure to assemble, gives a solid impression, and fulfills its function. Unfortunately, it has 2 relatively big flaws: The first is that the tilt (up and down, in the monitor joint itself) is adjusted by first loosening the screw that fixes the angle. This means, of course, that the monitor will bend to its maximum under its own weight - which, as one would expect, will not be small (why else use a "Heavy Duty" arm). And since it's all about units of degrees for comfortable use, it's not exactly easy to hit the right angle, with one hand busy tightening, and the other having to balance the 9kg 34" monitor so that it's correctly upright while the arm drifts differently. (And setting up the joint itself without the monitor in place is inaccurate, and given that setting it up is, both by manual and experience, ideally a 2-person task - at least as far as ultrawidescreen monitors are concerned - it's at least as tedious a process. ) The second is that the pivot (i.e. rotating the monitor from horizontal to vertical position) cannot be tightened and fixed - which is the only direction of freedom that I will practically never change - but every time I manipulate the monitor, I have to fix it again so that the monitor is not crooked. The third drawback is a relatively small thing that may not bother everyone - the covers that can be used to run cables along the arm do not have a very large capacity. I can fit 1x HDMI, 1x power supply and 1x USB, whereas I use the monitor with 2 computers, i.e. it would be useful to run 2 more cables there - which is probably possible, but they will be really tight. Everything else about the mount works great, it feels solid for its price, positions well, and I appreciate the plastic cover on the back of the desk that you can run cables through, as well as the pseudo-felt sticker between the desk and the arm that prevents it from scratching/pushing holes. I am happy with it (bought for 2.3k), but I can imagine a better thought out and processed version.
