Marble inner surface of the pan

The inner surface of the pan referred to as "marble" is not made of real stone. This designation refers only to its appearance, which resembles marble due to its specific mottled texture. In fact, it is a type of non-stick surface that is often made up of several layers based on ceramic or other synthetic materials. A key feature is its enrichment with small and hard mineral particles, which increase the overall mechanical resistance and durability of the surface against scratches and abrasion. The main function of this treatment is to prevent food from sticking and burning, which allows cooking with a minimum of oil or fat, while making pan washing much easier. To prolong the life of the surface, it is advisable to use utensils made of wood, plastic or silicone. These modern surfaces are generally manufactured without the use of PFOA, which is a perfluorooctanoic acid that has been used in the past in the manufacture of some non-stick materials. A marble surface therefore combines the functionality of a non-stick coating with improved durability and a distinctive design.
