I use the convector in the cottage as an auxiliary heater when I arrive in the freezing house. I turn on the stove, turn on the convector and soon the room is beautifully warm. The main advantage is the built-in fan.
The fan is also a disadvantage, it can not be run at night - it is not very noisy itself, but the weak back plate rings from its operation and this is quite unpleasant. You have to push on the plate, it bends and the sound disappears, but as soon as it returns to its original position, you get up. So for the night I prefer to go without a fan, but even so it is pleasantly warm in the morning.
