Obviously I got the piece from someone who probably didn't crack it. Even though I'm an IT guy, I had a hard time. I was looking for an inexpensive printer for occasional use, and the thing I like best is that it eventually handles everything wirelessly over wifi.

The worst printer I could have bought! I'd like to return it. 15 black and white papers print for 25 min and be careful not to interrupt the printing, otherwise it starts again. The black ink lasted 40 pages!

Although I'm not a beginner when it comes to getting it to work, I had to struggle a bit more with getting the printer up and running, but in the end it worked fine. It's too early for a longer-term assessment, we'll see how long it lasts, because the old epson served for over 20 years.
