With antiviruses it's "hard". They all try to give the impression of massive activity and a huge contribution to your life. They are constantly optimizing something, throwing up fancy charts, shooting designs in the bottom right corner, etc. But in reality they are just making "noise" and begging for your attention to sell you something extra. Bitdefender is slightly better than the competition in this respect (i.e. less annoying), but not perfect. For example, today he notified me after a quick test that I had several personal identity breaches. I wondered and clicked on the menu. And I was already on the page where I had to choose a suitable plan and fill in my credit card number. On principle, it really annoys me when I buy something and it uses the power of the computer to identify threats that it is unable to resolve by default. But as I write - all antiviruses do this, and this one is slightly less annoying. As far as watching my device - as a layman I can't really judge. So far, no virus has gotten into my PC. Whether this is a credit to Bitdefender or the basic Windows firewall is the question. Considering the risks, I prefer to opt for the extra security and a personal vendor for customized security services.
