I honestly only see one reason to buy the Watch 2 and that's app support from the Google Play store - if you want to use alternative apps. The Watch 2 may have Wear OS, but apart from the Google Play store, Google Pay and Google Voice Assistant, the Watch doesn't use anything from Wear OS - nor can it, because then no one would buy Google products. Both watches have an extremely poor quality sleep monitoring algorithm (see. on Youtube The Quantified Scientist). I have an Oura 3 ring and both watches measure literally rubbish against the ring. GPS is great on both, but the S3 measures a little better for me. The only errors with both watches are in the corners, where it is a little inaccurate, but 99% of the route is recorded correctly. The Mi Fitness app offers detailed sports activity stats - step lengths, heart rate, speed, elevation, etc. throughout the exercise, which I personally find very interesting. I ran away from the Watch 2 to the Fitbit Charge 6 to run back to the Xiaomi Watch S3, which I absolutely love and want no other watch.
