I was looking for a fan for which quiet operation was a priority for me. Based on technical parameters and reviews, I chose this one. I was skeptical, based on previous experiences with fans I was returning because they were noisy to me, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the noise of this fan. It is really very quiet compared to others. At the first level it is almost inaudible, at the second it is weak and at the third it is quite loud, but that is logical and expected, but the sound of this fan is not disturbing to me, that even at the highest level the sound of the fan does not bother me too much. In the first and second gears, you can sleep and watch TV without any problems. On the first two stages, you can sometimes hear a kind of occasional " crunching" and vibrations of the propeller (unfortunately, this is a habit with the fan), but only occasionally and it is not disturbing. On the third stage it is not audible, apparently because it drowns out the sound of the fan. Compared to other fans, it seems to me that this fan has a weaker air flow (I compare at a distance of approx. 2m). There is a light breeze on the first stage, a breeze on the second stage and a stronger air current up to the third stage. I take it as a tax for quiet operation. A fan will be insufficient for large rooms. I bought the fan for a smaller room of approx. 16-18 square meters, so I can get by with the first two speeds and therefore silent operation. It is a little more difficult for me to adjust the vertical angle of inclination when it is rigid, and at the beginning I was worried that I would not break something due to the plastic design (except for the stand rod, it is not plastic), but I have already found a handle for it. I also like the sleep function, when the fan runs at the lowest level and always increases its power briefly at intervals (does not disturb) and then returns to a weak breeze. The cable to the outlet is quite short, only 170cm, so if someone wants to place the fan further away from the outlet, they will need an extension cord. Also, instead of remote control via the app, I would prefer control via a classic remote control. If you are looking for a quiet fan, this is a great choice. If someone prefers more power to quiet operation, I would probably recommend another fan model - for example, the Rohnson R-8520 Air Booster (but the noise is still at a good level for its performance), which I have in a larger room where I don' t require completely silent operation. Despite some negatives of the Xiaomi fan, I am satisfied with the purchase.
