A high-end flagship smartphone focused on photography that offers really great images. The very fast charging in practice is also a pleasure and the power is to spare. I'm switching from OneUI and I was pleasantly surprised by the equally good, sometimes even better integration of AI features. The only minor criticism may be the slightly plastic feel of the back cover and the lack of a quick charger in the package.

I have been using iPhone for the past 10 years and I thought switching was going to be harder, but no, HyperOS was super intuitive and highly customizable, the camera offers you a wide range of options for your pictures and even the LEICA modes to take incredible shots.
Very easy to switch to this from iPhone
Outstanding camera
amazing quality of the materials
Very good interface
Super fast charging
Xiaomi provides it with a screen protector and a plastic cover
The model is very new so it's hard to find covers or accessories for it, for now.

I'm switching from the Xiaomi 13T, which for me was very successful in design. The 17 Ultra is excellent, has a quality camera and solid performance. The body is aluminum and has no texture (compared to older models or Leitzphone), so it is worse to grip without a cover. The design is very nice, but the camera is big and heavy, making it harder to hold. The fact that it has a flat back contributes to this, so it is harder to fit in the hand compared to rounded edges. But that's the only complaint. Despite the higher price, it's a very good buy for someone who doesn't like Samsung's UI and parameters and doesn't like Apple. I've been using Xiaomi phones for over 10 years and so far they haven't let me down.
Larger display
16 GB DDR5 on base model
Camera
Sympathetic performance
Photokit within the event (magsafe case)
Wireless charging and very fast wired
No programmable button on the opposite side
Worse ergonomics compared to my 13T

I used to have a Xiaomi and My experience with it was very bad and therefore I hesitated to give a second chance however I am very surprised that I have not switched long ago, it is a very light to operate pleasant phone, the system is a combination of ios and android with improvements, artificial intelligence is not at the level of Samsung but it is a matter of time when Xiaomi catches up, cameras are absolute overkill that goes something like this to put at all in the phone and mainly it is beautifully balanced. I was afraid that the phone would fall towards the camera module but beautifully holds the balance downwards which I appreciate because for the user who controls the device with one hand will not threaten to fall out of the hands, the box is very basic and sufficient with a minimum of unnecessary waste
The battery is great, at the end of the day I have 50% charge all the time
Performance is very noticeable and the system is beautifully smooth
The camera is noticeable in quality compared to Samsung ultra phones
The button layout is just right for one-handed operation
Xiaomi connectivity and ecosystem
Cooling is very good
I have had my phone on balanced performance mode since the beginning and it is sufficient for all tasks and activities
Finger unlocking is probably the fastest I've ever experienced
Always on, I expected slightly better
Not related to the phone- the included cover in the package could have covered the bottom of the phone
When holding, it is common for the camera glass to get smudged from fingerprints

I'm thrilled with it, it's beautiful, fast and most importantly takes beautiful photos and videos.
It replaced my previous Xiaomi 14T pro and there is a really noticeable difference between them (/mainly the photos - that's why I bought it)
I haven't had time for anything else since I bought it.

So far the phone works flawlessly, has a beautiful flat display with great readability in the sun. It's fast and nimble. Surprisingly, even in its size, it is very easy to hold and lightweight. Satisfaction so far.

Having gone from 14 really made a big difference, the larger display may put some people off but in real life it's fine. Nothing to fault

I think the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is one of the most interesting flagship phones right now. What impressed me the most is the camera system made with Leica. The photos look very detailed and the zoom is extremely powerful, which makes the phone great for photography.
Performance is also very strong thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. In my opinion, the phone feels very fast when opening apps, gaming, or multitasking.
The display is large and smooth, which makes watching videos and browsing very enjoyable. However, the phone is quite big and a little heavy, so it might not be comfortable for everyone.
Overall, I think the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is a great phone, especially for people who care about camera quality and powerful performance
