at 5TB capacity, even smaller size and weight than my previous 2 HDDs of the same series with 2TB capacity
I hope that the lifespan will be similar (older HDD is 6.5 years)
the speed of the new HDDs is slightly faster than the older ones
Ideal for archiving and backup purposes, compared to SSDs, they preserve stored data for long periods (years) without power

I am satisfied, but nothing super extra. It simply works quietly and backs up.
Compact design (for a bag, on the go)
Good price/capacity ratio
Slow data transfer (when backing up, during longer copy tasks)

To be honest, I have nothing positive to say about it.
After a few months, the drive failed and one of the partitions stopped being recognised. I had to format it. Fortunately, there was no data loss, but thousands of sectors are damaged.
The drive is extremely quiet, and since it's a mechanical drive, you can't tell when it has stopped spinning and when it's still running.
The indicator diode is very hard to see.
The plastic chassis feels very cheap, which, in my experience, probably reflects the quality of the drive itself.
I still own an old WD Passport drive, which is about five years old now. I would definitely recommend the old model. This new one, however, not at all.

Reviewing a hard drive after just a few weeks is pointless. Ask me again in five years.

Compatibility with devices (with macOS)
Easy to connect (to a computer)
Stable operation
Low heating
Low weight
