I bought the phone primarily for photography, and it was the best choice. The photos are almost always perfect, it's up to the photographer, Vivo takes care of the rest. If taking photos is your main concern with your phone, look no further. I also like the new Origin OS for Vivo, which is a big step forward, even if there are some compromises. The design is top notch, it looks premium, the phone is beautifully thin - except for the photomodule. It is decorated with a great display with great brightness and 120 Hz. I like the dedicated button for various functions, the loud speakers and certainly the contents of the package - there is no cover, the phone is covered with foil and, thirdly, there is a cable.

It's quite nice to see a phone focused purely on photography again after a long time. It won't replace a DSLR, but it's a good substitute when it's not at hand. The photo app is really high level, the preset colour profiles are not too offensive and are rather down to earth. But what surprises the phone the most is not the big zoom (which is incredibly helped by AI), the app or stabilization but mainly night photos. Because this phone handles those really well. It's just a shame that physics just can't be beat and these great photos are redeemed by a protrusion that almost doubles the thickness of the phone. As is already the trend, do not expect a charger or a 3.5mm jack (after all, it is not a music phone but a photo phone, but there are photo accessories for phones that use the jack). So it's at least nice that there is a black cover in the package which is probably soft-touch TPU/silicone.

I purchased the most expensive version of the Vivo X300 Pro, primarily because of the advertised "gift" - the Professional Photography Kit (Grip Kit), which was displayed on the Alza e-shop with a huge additional Zeiss lens. I wanted to take full advantage of the potential of the "Co-engineered with ZEISS" optics that Alza so massively promotes. The main problem and a warning to others: False advertising: The image that Alza is using to promote the phone (see. attached screenshot), clearly shows the phone with a large telephoto lens (black cylinder) and an additional grip with buttons. Reality: The "Professional Photography Kit (Grip Kit)" includes ONLY the grip (the grey part with the buttons). The additional ZEISS lens shown in the picture is NOT included. What this means for buyers: You pay for the most expensive version, expecting what's in the photo, but you only get half the set. The key optical element that makes a phone a "professional camera" is missing. It's a marketing ploy that has me convinced that I'll be returning the Vivo X300 Pro. Recommendation: Don't expect a lens! If you're buying your phone because of this lens, you'll be disappointed. Alza should immediately change the promotional image to match the actual contents of the package so as not to mislead other customers. I am very unhappy with the way this product is being promoted and must warn potential buyers of this fundamental misinformation.
